Indy was a once in a lifetime dog, a fairytale come true. Her conformation is what made her famous, but I believe that it was her heart and soul that truly made her who she was. Tbere was always something special about Indy when she walked into the ring. You could not take your eyes off of her as she seemed to “Glow”. I am amazed at how beloved she became and is still fondly remembered today.
It was 1984, I was looking for a black show bitch that could do obedience too. Cindy Lane was our handler at the time and knew of an all Red litter with a show bitch available. Cindy said she was beautiful, but I told her if she could not do obedience, I did not want her. After I decided to by Indy, I had to convince Art. H finally handed me a note that said, “Go get your &%$#@” puppy!” Indy was 3 months old when we got her. I bought her sight unseen.
Indy finished quickly. I am very proud of the fact that she got her CD while she was being Specialed. On top of everything did at the 1987 Nationals, she was High Scoring Champion from the Novice B class with a 197 score. Here are some of my favorite pictures of her.
